Compact Thermal Imaging Camera for Industrial Applications Introduced

Micro-Epsilon's thermoIMAGER TIM41 offers high resolution and a wide temperature range of -20 °C to +900 °C to enable monitoring of machines and facilities By DA Editor / 22 Feb 2022

Micro-Epsilon have introduced the thermoIMAGER TIM41 thermal imaging camera. Designed for demanding industrial serial applications, the camera gives accurate temperature measurements in a range from -20 °C to +900 °C. Focusing is performed via an integrated motorized focus. Automatic monitoring of hot and cold spots is also possible.

The compact and robust thermoIMAGER TIM41 thermal imaging camera is designed for industrial use. High resolution and a wide temperature range of -20 °C to +900 °C enable monitoring of machines and facilities. In addition to this, the integrated spotfinder function enables automated detection of hot and cold spots. The camera is able to focus on and monitor up to three measuring fields simultaneously on a continuous basis. An integral motorized focus enables remote focusing. Measurement values can be transmitted to a controller, which in the event that limit values are exceeded, can trigger subsequent actions such as alarms, door opening, cooling or switching off.

Commissioning is easy via the TIM Connect software included in the scope of supply. You can output measured values via Ethernet or a process interface (4-20 mA). No additional PC is required for operation in autonomous mode.
