Production and Service Restored for Shallow SeaFET™ V2 and SeapHOx™ V2 pH Sensors

After rigorous testing, the advanced pH sensors are again available for order and service, offering autonomous and integrated oceanographic data collection. By DA Staff / 15 Jul 2025

Production and service have resumed for the Sea-Bird Scientific Shallow SeaFET™ V2 and Shallow SeapHOx™ V2 pH sensors. This follows a period of qualification, testing, and field deployments. Both sensors are now available for quotes and service requests.

The Shallow SeaFET™ V2 is an ocean pH sensor utilizing ISFET technology for stable, long-term pH measurements in saltwater. Its applications include ocean acidification research, coral reef research, coastal marine biology, and environmental monitoring. The Shallow SeaFET™ V2 can operate autonomously, featuring internal power, sample scheduling, and data logging capabilities.

The Shallow SeapHOx™ V2 integrates the Shallow SeaFET™ V2 pH sensor with the SBE 37-SMP-ODO MicroCAT CTD+DO sensor. This combination allows for the collection of pH data alongside measurements of temperature, salinity, and oxygen. The Shallow SeapHOx™ V2 incorporates the SBE 37-SMP-ODO’s pumped flow path and anti-fouling technology, which can extend deployment durations.
