Silicon Sensing has confirmed its participation as an exhibitor at the 35th International Symposium on Space Technology and Science (ISTS), taking place in Tokushima, Japan, from July 12th to 18th this year.
The ISTS serves as a platform for engineers, researchers, established corporations, start-ups, and other stakeholders in space-related fields to present findings and exchange insights. This year, the symposium will specifically focus on transportation and mobility in space, recognizing their importance for space exploration.
This theme aligns with Silicon Sensing’s expertise in MEMS-based inertial navigation and stabilization technology. The company’s all-silicon sensor technology is designed to provide accurate and continuous inertial measurement, even on platforms with strict size and weight limitations.
In recent developments, Silicon Sensing and Science Tokyo, a leading Japanese science and technology university, announced in October 2024 the completion of a joint program. This program tested the capabilities of Silicon Sensing’s DMU41 inertial measurement unit (IMU) for low earth orbit (LEO) applications. Additionally, in November 2024, the company announced that its Pinpoint® gyro, a miniature sensor, would be utilized on the MARS Phobos moon rover as part of the Martian Moons eXploration (MMX) mission.
Silicon Sensing invites attendees to visit their exhibit at ISTS 2025 to discuss inertial navigation requirements for space missions.
